Aw man, I was having SO much fun with this at the master of damage, and later in UW I understand why it's fixed, thumbs up for Izzy for not letting this last longer in the game

And, for once, Mark of Protection was meta! Woop woop!

I'm actually coming down on the side of the PvPers here, which is unusual.
But seriously, that combo was WAY imba.

Besides, the absolute fastest way to make any money in GW now is HFFF.

Exploiting bugged skill in PvP = *queue music- We Are The Champions*

In other words people get upset after these sorts of things because they're most likely the people that went around exploiting the bug in the first place and want the exploit to stay so that they can continue to use it and feel godlike.

LOL. Brilliant whoever thought up that combo, but yeah, needed to be nerfed. Stuff like this is proof positive that there's no chance this game could ever be released completely balanced; how do you expect ANet to catch stuff like this before it happens?

Pretty sure people were running it in HA about 12 hours before it was changed. It was definitely popular for less then a day.

Normally I'm the first to say "Stop saying things are overpowered and find some counters", but after learning about this? Yeah. This WAS a needed nerf. Wish I could have seen it in action, though.

I resisted speaking about this build until it got rampant throughout the game and nerfed, but now that it has I can shoot.

This build was beyond broken. It didn't belong in the game period. 800+ dps bug did not belong in the game. Instawiping teams in TA and HA did not belong in the game. I'm just glad I got to have fun with it before it died. =p

The thing that makes me laugh most is some "experts" before this nerf claiming that it was not OP, and that you could deal with it because it was counterable by enchant removal blah blah. All of those people are idiots and I will never listen to them about anything relevant ever again.

Anyone who said stop complaining it's easy to counter obviously have no clue what they're talking about and should be ignored.

maybe because pvpers actually know how to use skills and see the potential in combos and not just button mash until stuff dies.

>skill/combo becomes abused in PvE/PvP
>PvPers come to devs or guru etc and say its imbalanced
>Other PvPers agree "yeah its too powerful", "I agree Its overpowered when there's no way to prot/stop it from owning you"
>Anet checks it out and sees its too powerful
>Anet nerfs the skill/skills (albeit they dont always do it the right way)
>PvE FARMERS come to guru to whine about PvPers nerfing thier god mode combos, cause farmers dont know how to adapt. Rest of PvE community is fine and goes on smashing enemies faces in.
>PvE Farmer whine fest becomes flame fest because farmers are too ignorant to see straight.
>Thread closed or abandoned cause neither side wins because of farmers inability to think, after all how much do you have to think to button mash what your told to by the pvxwiki farm builds

Counterable is not the same as balanced.

You cannot afford to bring hard counters to every gimmick or overpowered combination because it gimps you against everything else. You don't have the bar space, and you don't know what you're going up against.

Every gimmick is counterable. Their power is in hoping the opponent does not have the specific counter necessary for that gimmick. Supporting overpowered builds and hard counters turns the game into rock-paper-scissors which is even more retarded.

In conclusion, unless you PvP, you don't get to talk about PvP balance. Continuing to derail with false, noncontributing opinions like 'omg just lern 2 counter' and trolling will result in the thread being locked and bans going out.
